Herbs and Oils for the Spring Equinox

Spring has sprung. It is now a time of new beginnings, of finding your balance, planting seeds, youthful energy, rebirth and the fertility of nature. With that all in mind I thought I'd share some of the many plants and oils associated with this season.

Financial Self Care

This month is National Credit Education Month. Here in the U.S. March is also when business taxes are due. April being when personal income taxes are due as well. So I thought this was the perfect time to talk about financial health and education. They say there are only two things guaranteed in life, death and taxes. How depressing. But it doesn't have to be.

31 Days of Tarot

Hey guys.

Wow, so I did this. This past January I participated in Ethony Dawn's 31 Days of Tarot challenge on Youtube and Instagram. Mainly on Youtube though. 

The 31 Days of Tarot consisted of 31 prompt questions for us to follow. As a tarot and oracle reader I was excited to participate. It was a lot of hard work including the technical aspect of putting out 31 videos daily. But I persevered and it resulted in new reading clients, new friends and followers on YouTube and IG, a newfound confidence and of course new video editing skills.

A Change is Coming

Wow, so its been awhile huh?

I've actually had a few blog posts sitting here because my thoughts about Scarlet Moon Creations and this blog in particular were going through a metamorphosis.

Brand Identity coming together

Recently, I've been coming up with lots of new ideas for Scarlet Moon Creations. I've come across various pagan business types that have influenced my thoughts for how I want this business to function. So these ideas are not product related per se. I have a list for those. A bunch of which will come to fruition next year.

2nd Quarter 2017 Traffic, Income and Goals

The first half of the year is gone. How did that happen?! After having a hard time getting out reports for April and May, I decided to just do this quarterly round up after June finished. My 2nd quarter was not very good. Nothing is up to my standards. June I did have some sales but those were due to promotions in April and May. Who knows what the 2nd half of the year will bring but I plan to step it up.

Reflection, Thanks and a Gift

Wow, it has been awhile hasn't it. It hasn't been for lack of topics or want that has kept me away but busyness and discoveries and derailments. That's a somewhat poetic way of saying I kept forgetting to post when it was convenient and conveniently remembering when it wasn't.

Posting Update

So sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. I had writers block as far as blog topics were concerned. That is not the case anymore. I've got about 20 or so topics, so I am back to writing them out ahead of time and just scheduling posting dates for the future. Once a week, every Saturday like before. Here are some post ideas I have been thinking and writing about:

- a spicy package for the fall
- how to think ahead for the seasons
- using honey more in the scrubs and/or having it as a 'required' ingredient
- fragrance oils?
- the pumpkin issue (this will probably be first up since I have been dealing with it for a month already)
- twitter?
- products: idea bubbles, word association, the creation process
- Yule
- winter scrubs and butters
- samples: forms and questionnaires, pics, should I sell them
- random business thoughts; as usual
- books (so many sub topics here its not even funny)
- oils no longer being strictly made to order
- pimping other blogs and shops that I like or are friends
- the zodiac line

I have also joined Instagram. I wasn't sure how to differentiate what I post there from what I post here (picture-wise) and Facebook, but I've decided it will be more personal. So even though it has the business name, expect random personal things to be there as well. Still not sure about posting pics of myself online, but we shall see. I'm not a selca (this is the korean version of selfie. I am a big fan of kpop and selfie just sounds sexual) type of person, but i think some photos of me mixing, shopping and creating might be good so i might drag my family into taking pics of me.

I will also be posting non-original material that relates to both of my businesses just for fun. You know memes and the like. I hope you guys enjoy that.

Other than that I've got my fall scrubs coming but first this week the next two Sabbat oils will be up in the shop. The Mabon Oil is already there
